During the faunistic research, the curator of the invertebrate collection of the Kaunas Tadas Ivanauskas Zoology Museum, Alvyra Patapavičienė, discovered two new mask snail locations. The mask snail (Isognomostoma isognomostomos) is rare in Lithuania. Snail's shell is covered with long, slightly curved hairs.
The mask snail lives in humid and wet forests. The biggest threat to the snail is deforestation.
